LifeTec Group is an independent company that offers contract research on innovative medical products, therapies and interventions on a variety of research platforms. We are specialized in evaluating medical implants and procedures, conducting applied biomedical research and developing new technology. 

 

The job

As an R&D engineer working at LifeTec Group you will operate one or more of our research platforms, such as the Heart Valve Assessment Platform [download PDF]. This platform is developed to test performance of engineered heart valve replacements for our clients.

As our new R&D engineer you will become platform operator, meaning that you will assemble platforms, operate and maintain them. Operating a platform includes activities such as, starting a test, performing data acquisitions, calibration of pressure and flow sensors and troubleshooting. At the same time, you will post-process the obtained results and write test reports for our clients.

You will work in a team with other platform operators and you will be involved in communication with the client. Altogether, these activities require excellent technical skills, as our platforms are composed of advanced technology. Moreover, it requires a pro-active and precise working attitude following standard operation procedures.

LifeTec Group has a young, international, multi-disciplinary team with various backgrounds in mechanical engineering, biomechanical engineering, electronics, and chemical engineering.

We perform projects in teams of varying compositions, resulting in a dynamic working environment.

Our offer

Hours: 32-40 hours per week

30 days leave based on a full-time contract of 40 hours per week

Personal development

About you

Bachelor (BSc) degree (Dutch: HBO)

Technical, (applied) mechanical engineering background 

Expertise in the field of biomedical engineering is a plus

Relevant working experience is a plus

Pro-active working attitude

Able to plan and to work independently

Flexible, resistant to stress and dedicated

Teamplayer

Not hesitant to work with biological material (blood, tissue, organs)

Strong communication skills in Dutch and English

Driving license B (required)
