Lifelike cardiac intervention simulation for medical professionals.

Cardiac surgeon and ‘living legend in surgery’ Dr. Walter Randolph Chitwood Jr. called it “the best of what is currently available in this range”

Dr. Chitwood compared the training of heart surgeons or cardiologists to the intensive simulator practice that professional pilots have on a regular basis.

Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Repair procedure - LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
“The best of what is currently available”

“The best of what is currently available” refers to the Cardiac Biosimulator Platform developed by LifeTec Group, and to minimally invasive surgery procedures like mitral valve repair and tricuspid valve repair, which can be practised in a lifelike situation with the aid of this platform.

What’s the news?

If you had not yet heard of the Cardiac Biosimulator Platform and the opportunities it offers for R&D and training, then discovering its existence is news in itself. For those who have heard of it before, this development might be good news:

Improved availability as well as accessibility

We have improved the availability of the platform and we’ve made it more accessible - and we’re working on further improvements as we speak. In order to turn the improvements into a constant, ongoing process, LifeTec Group is preparing a spin-out.

The Cardiac Biosimulator Platform, and the services for “lifelike cardiac intervention simulation for medical professionals”, will become a separate company.

  • LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
  • LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform
LifeTec Group - Cardiac Biosimulator Platform

What’s in it for you?

Improved availability means that even more platforms will be built, enabling more users to avail themselves of the platform in several locations at once.

Improved accessibility means that more, fully equipped, stationary training centres will be fitted out in addition to the existing training facilities at the LifeTec Group lab in Eindhoven and the ‘travelling’ platforms and platform operators in Europe and the United States.

We’ll start with new ones in Europe and the US, and after that new training centres will be established in the Middle East and Asia.

For the economists among you:

The new spin-out company will offer this combination of platform and service not only per shift, but also as a full operational lease construction. The client is worry-free, and it is a financially attractive package.
